Terms of Use

You must be at least 18 years old, and a parent or guardian, to create an account. Children do not create their own accounts or log in. A child's profile only exists because a parent chose to add it, and only a parent can create, edit, or delete it.

• You are responsible for keeping your password private and for activity that happens under your account.
• Use a real, working email address so you can verify your account and receive important notices.
• Let us know right away, through Mailbox in the app, if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.

Everything you create inside The Family App, Daily Reflections, Joy Journal entries, Conflict Coach conversations, your Family Flag, Story Circle stories, and photos, belongs to your family. We store it only to provide the app's features to you. It is never sold, and it is never used to train public AI models without your explicit consent.

You are responsible for the content you create and share within your family account. Please do not upload anything you do not have the right to share, or anything that could put your family or others at risk.

Please use The Family App the way it is meant to be used. In particular, do not:

• Share your account access with anyone outside your two-parent family account.
• Attempt to access another family's content, disrupt the service, or interfere with its normal operation.
• Use the app to harass, threaten, or endanger a child or any other person.
• Use AI-assisted features to generate harmful, abusive, or illegal content.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or resell any part of the app.

We may suspend or close an account that violates these terms, particularly where a child's safety is a concern.

Some features use AI to help with writing and organizing, for example drafting a Family Flag summary or responding in a Conflict Coach conversation. AI is here to support you, not to replace your own judgment, your relationships, or professional advice when you need it. Parents always remain the decision-makers. AI-generated content can be incomplete or imperfect, so please use your own judgment before relying on it.

Conflict Coach and Support Sessions offer informal, supportive parenting guidance. They are not therapy, counseling, medical advice, or legal advice, and they are not a substitute for a licensed professional. If your situation calls for professional support, please seek it directly.

The Family App is not built or intended for emergencies. If a child or anyone else is in immediate danger, or you are experiencing a crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis hotline right away rather than relying on the app.

The Family App's design, software, and branding belong to ORBs. This does not include the content your family creates, which stays yours as described above. Please do not copy or reuse our branding or software outside the app without permission.

The Family App is actively evolving. We may add, change, or remove features over time as we learn what genuinely helps families. We will not use changes to the app to weaken the privacy or content ownership commitments described in our Privacy Policy.

You may stop using The Family App at any time. You can delete your own account yourself, any time, from Settings > Delete my account — this is immediate and cannot be undone. We may also suspend or close an account that violates these terms, particularly where a child's safety is a concern, and we will try to let you know why.

The Family App is provided as is, without guarantees that it will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ORBs is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ORBs operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use The Family App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
